MEET KRISTINA

Kristina is a devoted wife of 16 years to Jon and mother to their four children. Together her family also fosters children in their community providing a safe place for young children in the foster system.

​

Her 12-year journey in maternal care is driven by a deep passion for birth and the well-being of mothers and newborns. As a certified birth doula, she is committed to championing safety and mental well-being in her work.​​

​

Proud of her Latina heritage, Kristina merges tradition with modern postpartum care, offering comprehensive childbirth education and cultural training. Now, as a midwife student, she approaches her studies with gratitude, eager to expand her impact and serve with compassion and humility, all guided by her unwavering faith. Now she is honored to be developing our GBC trainings to be taught in Spanish (coming soon!)

 

Additionally, Kristina is actively engaged in her faith community, where she devotes her time to working with the little ones in the church's children's programs. This calling brings her unparalleled joy. She enjoys the daily pleasure of coffee, It is her small yet essential source of energy for life's adventures. She is also an avid crocheter, finding solace and creativity in every stitch.

 

She has been supporting women in birth since 2011 but became a certified birth doula through Childbirth International in 2014 and cross-certified through GBC in 2024. She is also trained in a number of additional supportive practices such as; child passenger safety with SafeKids, postpartum belly binding with La Matriz, perinatal mental health and mood disorders through PSI, IABLE Breastfeeding Champion, Cerrando las Caderas with Indigmama, and is currently enrolled in Charis Childbirth Midwifery Academics.
